FAQ

How are menstrual cups different from tampons?

Aside from being reusable, menstrual cups work by collecting your flow, rather than absorbing it. As a result, they can be left in for longer than tampons and don’t leave you feeling as dried out.

Which size should I choose?

Most folks can wear either size, but you might prefer size A if you’re new to cups, or if you have trouble inserting tampons. Choose size B if you’ve given birth or have a weak pelvic floor.

What’s the best way to clean my cup after use?

Clean the cup with warm water and a mild, unscented and oil-free soap, making sure the tiny holes under the rim are clear. Dry the cup completely before storing in the breathable cotton bag provided.

What if I need to empty it in a public bathroom?

While unlikely, you may need to empty in public (especially if you have heavy flow). If you're uncomfortable exiting the stall to wash your cup, simply remove & empty as usual, then wipe it with toilet paper before reinserting.

When should I replace my cup?

Inspect your cup regularly for signs of deterioration such as a sticky or powdery film, severe discoloration or odor, etc. If you detect any of these signs, or if you experience irritation, it's time to replace it! Once a year is a good rule of thumb.

Exactly what I wanted

I got the Aisle Cup after years of using a Diva Cup (smallest size). This is exactly what I was hoping for, the stem is slightly longer on me, but not an issue. Just as juicy, but more Canadian and it arrived in my mailbox! The cup is still the best decision I made after years of using tampons, and this one has a really cute bag!

life changing!

i was interested in switching to zero-waste menstrual products and took a deep dive by trying a cup! i typically used disposable pads, and rarely ever tampons, so this was a massive step for me and bought backup pads from aisle just in case. it took a couple of days of trial and error (especially with fitting, i pretty much cut as much as i could off of the stem after re-checking several times) and some discomfort in having it sit. however, i am very happy to say that i'm now fully converted and am glad i picked aisle's cup! my sister also tried a small cup from another brand, but i am happy with the flexibility and size of aisle's. it's a good amount of firmness/softness so i didn't have too much trouble with the cup opening after inserting and it's soft enough where i don't tend to feel it anymore. it does occasionally get tilted and i readjust/empty the cup as a precautionary measure every 6 hours, but can definitely wear it for 12 hours or longer with my medium flow. surprisingly, i also feel that the cup is much more sanitary and clean feeling than pads or tampons! i love the minimal branding on the cup itself and bag that it comes with. i feel so much more in touch with my body as well, since i can measure my flow in a quantifiable measure. working from home has presented the perfect time to try using a menstrual cup, so if you're curious i urge you to give it a try. :)

Great but takes getting used to

Great product. Very sturdy. Definitely takes some getting used to. I found it not as useful on my heavy day - a little bit leaky. Perfect for lighter days though - put it in and go!

Pretty impressed.
