Do I need to wear a pad or tampon with them?

You know your flow best! Our undies are designed to be worn on their own, but they make great backup protection for a tampon or menstrual cup too.

How do you wash Aisle BASE period underwear?

Rinse the gusset in cool water before washing in the machine with your regular laundry. Hang to dry where possible - it saves energy and prolongs the life of your undies! Just make sure they’re fully dry before storing or reusing.

Are BASE underwear compatible with Aisle Boosters?

We kept it super simple and streamlined with BASE undies, so you can just put 'em on and go. There are no gusset pockets in BASE undies so there's no need to use Aisle Boosters.

Literally life-changing

I have always been an exclusively internal-product person. Tampons, cups, discs, I've tried them all, but I've always HATED pads, so I was hesitant to try period underwear. However, I finally got sick of leaking and getting all up close and personal with myself, so I decided to give them a try, and these Shorty's are going to change everything for me. They handled a full day of of day 1 flow like a champ (which I knew was risky, but this style of underwear is my favorite). The wide, soft waistband is amazing for when you're crampy and bloated, and the gusset doesn't feel bulky or diaper-ish at all. The fabric is super breathable and high quality, and tbqh I've considered wearing these when I'm not on my period.

Great bit a little tight in the thigh and a little bulky. Good for sleeping

They are really good overall but I find them a little bulky/they folded in places that made gave very visible panty lines. They were also a little tight in the thigh for me, so maybe size up if you have larger thighs. That's not normally an issue for me but I think it is because of the length that they cut off at. I would prefer longer full boxers but they don't offer those in the BASE line, just the BOOST line.

I just wish that they made the BOOST line without the rubber-lined holes for the absorbency booster (I find them very noticeable and they irritate my skin) - definitely less bulky. Then I would get the BOOST boxers for sure. Less bulky and better length.

I find that overall the material of the aisle underwear doesn't wick moisture as much as Knix but with Knix I developed a skin irritation that I later fund out might be from PFAs. None of that with Aisle!

I also love their returns policy at Aisle, any unused returns go to people in need. They theoretically only let you open and try one item that will still be refunded if you don't like it, but you can email them and they will let you try another. Great company!
