FAQ

How are pads different from liners?

Both feature edge-to-edge leak protection and a super comfortable wicking cotton top layer, but our pads absorb 4X as much as our liners do.

Do they work for heavy periods?

Yes, we developed our pads to hold up to heavy flow. Just make sure you choose a pad with adequate coverage, and change as needed!

FAQ Image

How often do I need to change my pad?

At least once a day, or about as often as you would change a disposable pad. You’ll get the hang of it with experience.

How do I wash my pads?

Our pads were designed to fit into your regular laundry routine. No need to soak - just give them a quick rinse in cool water, then wash and dry with your next load of laundry.

Where are your pads made?

Our pads have been cut and sewn at the same locally-owned and operated factory for over 25 years, right here in Vancouver, BC.

new must have

I recently removed my IUD and in anticipation of having a period again, wanted a more environmentally friendly alternative to single use pads. I do still use tampons with these because even the heaviest version of these (I bought the three different absorbencies to use on different days and recommend them all) don't singularly meet my needs.

I bought these during COVID and haven't used them for a full day of activity outside of the house which I think might prove a little less than desirable because they do begin to smell eventually and I'm not sure I'll be changing one during the day at work (not such a discrete thing to do and I certainly can't wash one out in the sink at work without unfortunately being ostracized). Not saying that's a deal breaker-once I return to work, I'll figure something out.

I have now used through multiple periods. I rinse out thoroughly after use and let air dry before machine washing and then again air drying. I find they dry faster than I thought. I took them on one trip and brought a wet bag with me in case they were still wet when I was packing to leave.

Looking forward to trying the aisle underwear in the future.

Very eco friendly and comfortable

I like this product, very easy to wear and fits perfectly. I prefer the black as it doesn’t show any stain after washing!

Pretty good!

These definitely proved to be economical in terms of cutting down the number of disposable products I normally use. I like the padded yet still slim fabric and generally it's more comfortable to wear (definitely at night!). My only thoughts are that 1) sometimes the pad scrunches up or slides around a bit, so that takes some adjustment 2) more designs? (not a HUGE deal, obviously) :)

I also love the sustainability and ecological considerations the designers put into this product -- thank you!

Overall, definitely worth the investment!
