FAQ

How are pads different from liners?

Both feature edge-to-edge leak protection and a super comfortable wicking cotton top layer, but our pads absorb 4X as much as our liners do.

Do they work for heavy periods?

Yes, we developed our pads to hold up to heavy flow. Just make sure you choose a pad with adequate coverage, and change as needed!

FAQ Image

How often do I need to change my pad?

At least once a day, or about as often as you would change a disposable pad. You’ll get the hang of it with experience.

How do I wash my pads?

Our pads were designed to fit into your regular laundry routine. No need to soak - just give them a quick rinse in cool water, then wash and dry with your next load of laundry.

Where are your pads made?

Our pads have been cut and sewn at the same locally-owned and operated factory for over 25 years, right here in Vancouver, BC.

What a change!!

I have been thinking about trying period underwear for several years, but kept being held back by the cost. Then my period showed up a week early, three days into the coronavirus shutdown. I found myself going to three stores, at 10pm to find one pack of my normal brand.

I decided never to be in that position again and started seriously researching. I ultimately decided on pads, because I have 100 pounds to lose, and wanted something I could use while my body is shifting. Because the underwear has to be tight, it would have to be repurchased several times as my waist and hips change shape.

When I looked at the different companies, Aisle stood out as a dependable brand, so I ordered 7 pads and the trial pack of cups.

My first period I used the cup and one pad, which was washed and reused three times. The cup wasn’t my favorite, but that one pad sold me. The rest went into the laundry immediately after my first period, when I realized how clean the process was. I had worried about rinsing the pads in public, but on my heaviest day, normally a 3 disposable pad day, I used only one maxi pad - and never got stinky or felt wet.

I am definitely looking forward to next month wearing only these pads.

Life Changing

These pads genuinely changed my life. Possibly TMI but I always have a heavy flow due to a large tumour in my uterus and needed something that would last all day / all night. Regular super absorbent pads and tampons only last about 1-2 hours. These pads last me all day or all night with no concern for leaking or being uncomfortable. Due to their materiel you can’t even feel them, it just feels like you’re wearing underwear. I recommend them to every female I know because they genuinely changed my entire way of life.

So far, so good!

I purchased a Lunapads Performa pad a few weeks ago. So far, I really like it! It's soft, comfortable, and quite absorbent. It's made of cotton, which means it's better for vaginal health than products made of artificial fibers. I purchased a pair of Knix panties a few months ago, but I don't like the fact that they are made of artificial fibers. Also, they feel wet. Anyway, I just purchased five Aisle maxi pads and am looking forward to receiving them!
